Let's look at the first function: digitizing

Many people are already familiar with digitizing when they notice how digitized images look.  There are high quality and low quality ways to digitize an image.

The two main quality aspects are:

• how many pixels are used
• how many colors or shades of grey are used

The more pixels and the more colors, the more the digitized image looks like the original.

Processing audio is similar, as we will see in the next screen.
