One ring to rule them all

Denso, a Japanese automotive supplier, has created a ring that can be used as a remote control. It sends electronic pulses to the user’s index finger (or whichever finger it’s worn on?); when the user touches this finger to their thumb, it closes a circuit and sends a signal to the designated device. Could people with limited mobility or dexterity wear multiple rings to control multiple devices?
