RFID as diagnostic tool

Researchers at the University of South Florida are finding a statistical correlation between walking patterns recorded by patient-worn RFID transponders and diagnoses of Alzheimer’s. RFID technology continues controversial here in Berkeley for library applications, but we have a sneaking suspicion even our neighborhood nay-sayers would have a hard time arguing against this type of implementation.
