Researchers at Stanford have been working for some time on a system that reviews the content of your email message and figures out the intended recipient accordingly using databases and the Internet–e.g., it might link a company name and words like “resume” as a prompt to find that company’s head of human resources, or automatically send a message with the phrase, “Can I borrow $70 mil” to Bill Gates. Might be a useful typing and cognitive aid, especially if people can create personal databases as well.
