On the tip of your tongue

Eye Candy is a forthcoming device that sits on one end in your USB port and at the other end on your…tongue? Supposedly this will then transmit an animated graphic to your brain, bypassing the optic structure altogether. If this eventually allows transmission of multiple and/or user-specified pictures, it just might have applications for blind folks, especially those whose vision loss is not congenital. However, the pre-order form warns that Eye Candy “will not make you a better person,” so there goes our rationale for spending $90.
