Cam, saw, conquered

Scenario: you want to play the latest shoot ’em up game, or maybe just Solitaire, but you can’t hold (or can’t find) the right controller. There’s an easy-to-grasp empty Sprite bottle close at hand, though. Well, with the Cam-Trax prototype, you can use the bottle or darn near anything as a controller; it uses a webcam to track one or more colorful objects as you manipulate them. The video shows a wide range of effective motions–including pinching, which involves minimal dexterity. Infinite do-it-yourself controller design!
